Meet Nate

Nathan Neil - Artist Biography

Nathan Neil is a contemporary artist that’s evolving his style with every new inspiration.  Growing up with many emotional challenges, drawing became his main outlet.  His ability to adapt is one of his greatest gifts, he excelled in every Art Class. Nathans first creations were in the heart of Los Angeles, as a little boy, he would draw obsessively and continued this through college.  A couple years into college and new electives were demanded, painting never interested him but decided to give it a chance.  At age 27, with a bachelors degree in Art, emphasis on painting, he ventured on his own to Maui, Hawaii.

Taking a giant leap and disregarding all fears, was exactly what needed to be done.  To be able to live in one of the most inspiring artistic communities of the world, what better place than that of Aloha.  Shortly after landing a couple jobs as an Art Consultant, he was studying other contemporary artists biographies, wondering if he will ever find a space in this world.  Failing to sell artwork at the top gallery in Maui, Nathan found a new job selling prints at a more bohemian style gallery.  He asked to be a featured artist, the owner mentioned it’s possible, as long as he’s a good salesman.  His opportunity to create art for a living soon turned into his new obsession.  In one year, Nathan sold and gifted over 600 of his original fluid abstract paintings, ranging from pendants, coasters, magnets, wood, and canvas.  His most sought after abstracts were oceanic by nature and typically coated in epoxy resin.  During the end of 2018, he found wall space in the top gallery in Maui.  Painting live embellishments on top of his abstract fluid art, incorporating a decades knowledge of painting, and a lifelong determination to create, he was pursuing a new paradigm for art.

Nathan’s paintings are a symbol of energy, a moment captured in time.  Each painting is an original and not duplicated by any method as of May 2019.   Every hangable work of art was given a unique title, dated, and signed.  Some paintings have huge online presence, showing the process through instagram, facebook, and youtube, under the name N8paint.
